About This Product
About This Product
The drop-in, stock-appearing Screamer turbo for the 2004.5-2016 Duramax utilizes modern turbo technology that delivers increased airflow without compromising on low end response. Boost pressure can be increased to improve horsepower potential. Tests with the same tune and fuel quantity showed increased power output and a decrease in peak EGT's. The Duramax Screamer turbo works with any "box" tuner with further improvements achieved with custom tuning.

Love how the turbo isn’t noisy like the other competitors. Fast easy shipping and gave me a fair price on my core

BD Diesel shipped fast and solid. No junky containers or bs packages. Solid in foam in a box. Drop and drive stage one + turbo was actually more than the LBZ could take with the factory cold air intake. We had two test runs and the screamer brought the old girl back to life. I'd suggest making sure all of the cai's (cold air intakes)are strapped down hard. This turbo will test all of that system when you romp on it. Had two failures of that system when it got shrunk like a tin can at the bottom of the sea due to the increased draw. It was a quick return on the deposit, although not as much as advertised, like $209 instead of 250. If done right, this little bit of added boost makes an old 350 hp feel like it just might keep up with the newer 500+ hp stuff, but without the massive payment. PS. The guy that sold me this truck wants it back after I took him for a test drive.
He bought a newer truck and is sorry he did. No DEF. sorry Charlie. It's only got 147K on it and it screams!
This turbo needs an honest review because I couldn't find much when purchasing. Been running for a week now. Giving 5 stars because this unit is working flawlessly and impressively. Of course, tuning is everything when it comes to results, but here is what I found with this turbo compared to stock. Low end spool up is almost right there with stock. Then it comes in with a way strong mid-range punch and then keeps pulling up top where the factory turbo already tapped out. On my max effort tune the duals break loose without hesitation now. I often use fuel mpg as a gauge for efficiency, I can say so far I have gained a solid 1.5-2mpg with this turbo alone. I know other guys that immediately lost at least that much moving to larger sized turbos. Possibly a benefit of the mixed flow turbine design? One thing for some to know before buying, this is a 13 blade turbine which is why the low end spool is so strong, but if your just looking for the fighter jet sound then buy a 10 blade. This turbo has almost no exhaust whistle, that being said, with a 5" straight pipe, it has one of the meanest all engine roars and rumbles I have heard from a Duramax...Awesome! Well done BD.
