Fixed my transmission going in and out of overdrive between 45 and 50 mph. I already tried cleaning battery connections & moving the wire bundle away from the alternator.

You won't be disappointed with this product

I was very happy to find out my shifting problem was repaired after installing the digital noise insulator . Now my dodge truck no longer has the problem of not being able to decide if it should go into TC lock up or not. Now it goes into the correct gear and TC lock up when it supposed to, By the way I give 5 stars ! Thank you BD

Apps Noise Isolator

The TLDR is this product will fix your gear hunt issues 100%. First off I did not like the idea of this as many of us 2G Cummins owners the same, BUT after years of chasing this wiring gremlin, the failed effort of replacing the ground wire and running it far away from the wiring harness. Then wrapping the crossover ground wire in foil, replacing 3 or 4 alternators, and in the mean time buying a $6500 trans and converter. Years of sifting through old forum threads and failed attempt after another, I finally decided I was done avoiding this piece because I stubbornly considered it a band aid and I knew I could sort the issue out the correct way. Well I was wrong, as I've already stated I've done everything all of us have done trying to solve this issue. As of today 3/28/24 I installed this and immediately 3 things occurred, 1; TCC on-off switching or "gear hunting" immediately gone, and this is including the 50 mph shift into OD and the immediate unlock then lock, all of it GONE. It shifts into OD and unlocks simultaneously, until about 60 (I have 3.54 gear) where TC locks and STAYS locked. Same as when I shut OD for in town. 2; I've notice lately that my truck feels lazy off the line, takes forever to build boost, very smokey and no tune change. GONE, truck feels peppy again, I believe that the noise in my wiring was causing SO much interference that my ECU wasn't able to moderate the voltage output to the pump. Causing the thing to just run like ****. 3; My engine is quieter, this goes along with #2, I went and sat in a drive thru which is where I always notice how loud it is. Engine is less clattery, combustion noise is down at all RPM and especially idle. I have .0085x8 VCO injectors 100hp over. Conclusion; this works and it works well. I don't know if if my truck has ever felt this happy and I've owned it since 2019 @ 62k miles and it now has 107k.

Excellent Product: APPS Noise Isolator Dodge 5.9L 1994-2004

I don't give ANY product a quick review unless I test it first. I purchased the APPS Noise Isolator exactly one month ago. The installation was a breeze. But better than that.. it WORKS! Yea! Seven years ago I purchased a 180amp Alternator which is beefier than the one which came on my 1999 Dodge RAM 2500 5.9L Diesel. A week or so later my APPS started acting up. Between 37 MPH and 50 MPH the tranny would shift in and out of gear. Drove me crazy and I had also put in a NEW BILLET Transmission so I knew it had to be the APPS (Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor that Dodge calls the TPS). I spent over $400 and bought a new one including the bracket. Of course I pulled the NEGATIVE cables prior to installation. The old one had a sticker at 0.52 volts so I set the new one the same and calibrated it via the pedal. After 3 or 4 days the same problem happened. Long story short, I've gone through 3 different APPS modules and have been fighting this darn problem for 7 years. However, about a month ago I saw a video on YouTube and Thoroughbred Diesel explained how the wire from the APPS ran close to the Alternator which was the cause of the problem! They recommended BD and I also viewed their video(s). I immediately ordered and BD shipped fast. Bottom line for me.. I'll ORDER from BD in the future as I now trust them. Service was good. Product is great. What more can you ask? I recommend them.
